Padmavati Mahila University course director cracks IFS

AMARAVATI: Srikakulam woman, K Preetiraj has been selected for Indian Forest Service (IFS). She cleared the mains results declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday. Preetiraj has been working as public policy course director at Sri Padmavati Mahila University.
In an attempt to encourage women to achieve more ranks in Civil Services and top job recruitment examination, Sri Padmavati Mahila University launched specially designed courses in Public Policy and Anthropology in 2018 in association with top rated civils coaching institute Dr Lakshmaish IAS Academy of Hyderabad.
Preetiraj who did her BTech and MTech from IIT, Delhi, completed PG in anthropology under the guidance of Dr Lakshmaiah. Later, She moved to Tirupati as course director at Sri Padmavati Mahila University.
Former chief secretary and Public Policy course chief advisor Dr Mohan Kanda, Dr A Lakshmaiah, AP ST Commission secretary Satish congratulated Preeti Raj on her achievement.
Andhra Loyola college principal Dr GAP Kishore congratulated Preeti Raj when she met the principal on Friday. “We have launched Public Policy and Anthropology special courses at PG level with a view to help more women candidates to crack civil service examinations at national level. It is giving desired results as the course director herself got selected to IFS. It will inspire more students in the coming days,” said a senior official of Sri Padmavati Mahila University.
