Christmas cheer in Sipitang

The ceremony was attended by Sipitang District Office staff, Muhibah Village Development and Security Committee Chairman Lawrence Joannes and Community Leaders Unit staff.
SIPITANG: The Petronas Foundation fuelled Christmas celebrations in Sipitang by distributing festive packs and basic necessities through the Sentuhan Kasih programme held at Muhibah Village Hall, recently. The event involved communities from Muhibah and Sapuk villages. Yayasan Petronas representative, Ajmal Japeli, said 200 food baskets, of which 100 were donated by Yayasan Petronas and Petronas Chemical Fertiliser Sabah Sdn Bhd, were distributed.
“They were distributed to villagers in the B40 category who celebrate Christmas,” he said. The programme is a continuation of Petronas’ tradition in reaching out to the community during the festive season and also a Malaysian corporate social responsibility.
